President Message To Arizona’s Best, I am excited to announce that the 2012 TAA Summer Conference information is now on the website! More information is being added so please check back periodically. The conference will once again be held at the beautiful High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff. The conference dates for this year are Monday, June 18th through June 21st. Currently, registration forms for both conference attendees and vendors are posted along with conference hotel information. Please note, The Drury Hotel that is attached to the conference center is showing a room rate of $121.95 per night for a standard room. Please present your school ID at the front desk upon check-in. You will then be given the government rate.
NAPT has recently revised their administration procedures for the NAPT courses. This has reduced the cost of the actual class to you. We have three NAPT classes offered at this year’s conference as part of our pre-conference classes being held on Monday, June 18th. The cost is now $20 for each four hour class. This includes the actual instruction during the course, all class materials including workbook, and a TAA certificate of attendance stating that the student took part in the NAPT course. Each student must stay for the entire class to receive the certificate of attendance. If the student wishes to receive national credit for the course through NAPT for the NAPT certification program, the student will need to contact NAPT directly and pay an additional $50 per course for non-NAPT members or $15 for NAPT members to receive the NAPT certificate. Details on how a student would register for the NAPT certificate will be explained during the courses.
Your Board of Directors has been working diligently to again provide an excellent conference venue. Please review the tentative agenda located on the website for class topics and the schedule for the conference.
