President Message

Dear Student Transportation Professionals:

The TAA Summer Conference is just a few short days away! The Conference will be held on June 20-23, 2016 at the High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Your TAA Board have been working diligently to prepare for another amazing conference. We are looking forward to introducing new ideas and activities for a conference you won’t want to miss!

Over the course of four days, you'll have access to 3 keynote speakers, 4 in-depth NAPT training courses, numerous breakout sessions, and lots of food and entertainment. Topics range from the latest in specialized transportation to effective department management and everything in between. There's something for everyone involved in pupil transportation.

Breakout sessions throughout the week are designed to inspire. Possibly you’ll leave the conference with a new technique to apply to you own operation. Or, perhaps you’ll see a new facet of the pupil transportation industry in a new light. Our hope is that the thinking and ideas you glean from others will provide endless “food for thought.”

The following positions are open for election at the conference:

Region 1 Rep: 2 year term

Region 4 Rep: 2 year term

Region 5 Rep: 2 year term

Region 6 Rep: 1 year term

Vice President: 2 year term

If you are unsure of which region you are located in, the region map can be found on the TAA website at

If you are interested in running in the election for any of the above positions, please have a short election speech ready for conference. Election speeches will take place during lunch on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. The election is held during the vendor show on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 and the results will be announced before the summer conference commences.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any one of the Board members listed on the website.

We are looking forward to seeing you next week in Flagstaff!
